Career Talk: Paths After Your Graduation

Close to graduation and thinking about your next career steps? Interested in meeting an inspiring practicioner? Then join us for an insightful evening with Dr. Daniel Fischer, Head of Marketing Switzerland, UBS! We shed light on questions such as: What experiences did others make after graduating at HSG? What are possible avenues of oppertunity for PhDs?

The DocNet Career Talk brings together PhDs and alumni to talk about all things career planning! In an informal atmosphere we discover career oppertunites, talk honestly about up- and downsides of possible paths, and get inspired for the time after graduation.

A great oppertunity to exchange ideas, discuss ambitions and learn first-hand from other’s experiences!

When & where: Tuesday, November 5th, 7 - 9 pm @ theCo, Müller-Friedberg-Strasse 6, 9000 St.Gallen

DocNet x Science Slam St. Gallen

On 14th November, KUGL St.Gallen will host its first Science Slam. Widen your horizon by learning about research from all sorts of discplines and academic fields in a fun and engaging way.

What’s a Science Slam?
A “Science Slam” is a short scientific talk tournament based on the “Poetry Slam” concept and similar to “Powerpoint-Karaoke”, in which students and scientists (called slammers) present their own research work to an audience in an entertaining and understandable way and compete against each other in a competition. The aim is not only to convey knowledge to the general public, but especially to present the content in a humorous and descriptive way. The aim is to win the favour of the audience in a given time, whereby the lecture is evaluated by the audience. All aids are permitted for the presentation. Participation is open to all persons regardless of the scientific discipline.

When & where: Thursday, November 14th , 8.00 pm @ KUGL St. Gallen
