DocNet Skiing Day St. Anton - Booked out!

On February 1nd 2020, it's time again for the legendary DocNet Skiing Day in St. Anton. Get ready for a full day of skiing and snowboarding, après-ski, a sledging race, mulled wine and fondue!

Join our traditional skiing day in the first-class skiing area of St. Anton (Arlberg) ( in Austria.

This great event includes the bus ride to St. Anton, a day ticket for skiing, sledging, and dinner in the evening. Places are limited by bus capacity, so be quick to save your spot!

DocDrinks in February

Chances are, that you've just arrived at HSG for your PhD studies and haven't met awfully many persons yet. Or, you have seen a bunch of new faces and are curious about getting to know them. Perhaps you just welcome the chance to see some friendly faces again. Our DocDrinks event gives you the opportunity to do exactly that!

Tag along, meet your PhD peers in a casual atmosphere, and get in touch with new members of our ever-growing DocNet community. As always early comers are rewarded: The first couple of drinks are on us, so pop-by early!

DocNet General Assembly 2020

DocNet Mario Kart Tournament Vol. 2

On March 5, DocNet celebrates the great Nintendo 64 era by hosting its second Mario Kart Tournament. Everyone is invited to join! No matter if you have no or little experience in playing Mario Kart, or if you are an absolute pro – just come by and have fun.

Of course you can also join as spectator and cheer for our dauntless drivers!

The tournament will start with some free practice. Then, we will have a Qualifying as well as multiple races on different tracks and against different competitors, in order to determine our best drivers qualifying for the ultimate final! Amazing prices are awaiting!

DocNet Running Team

You have made a new years resolution and want to see it through? Or are you tired of running alone? Then join our DocNet Running Team! We get together weekly for a breath of fresh air and some exercise. We meet Tuesdays, 7.00 pm at the University Sports Hall and then make our way through the nearby Rotmonten running trails. No registration necessary, just pop by!

The running group is intended for both beginners and advanced runners. We will run at (almost) all weather conditions! If you need more information or want to know whether we will be running, write to Joachim ( or ask in our WhatsApp group.

Call for Applications: Teaching Fellowships 2020-21

Sciences Po welcomes applications from post-doctoral and doctoral students who are in the final phases of their PhD for one-year teaching positions on one of three English-speaking undergraduate campuses in France: Le Havre, Menton or Reims. Coursework in Economics, History, Law, Political Science, Political Theory, Sociology and Quantitative Methods applied to Social Science is taught in English. The area of expertise of successful applicants will be relevant to the disciplines taught at Sciences Po and to the regional focus of each Campus. Given the international nature of the Teaching Fellowship, applications from Sciences Po university partners are strongly encouraged.

Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto, Canada) - Call for Catalyst Fellowship Applications

Osgoode Hall Law School of York University ( in Toronto offers a one-year, funded Catalyst Fellowship for recent PhD graduates.

The Osgoode Catalyst Fellowships are designed to bring to Osgoode emerging scholars who have a demonstrated interest in a career in law teaching and to support and mentor scholars who will enhance the diversity of the profession. The Osgoode Catalyst Fellowship program may serve as a bridge to a legal academic career for one or more scholars each academic year.

Fellows will be given the opportunity to present a workshop with the aim of preparing a major article for publication, to pursue an active affiliation with one of our research centres, and to teach a course at the Law School.

Wüest Partner Förderpreis 2020

The annual Wüest-Partner Scholarship Prize sets out to promote academic research into the Swiss real estate market. It is awarded in recognition of out- standing degree theses and doctoral research projects. The prize money totals CHF 15,000. The prize-winners will also have the chance to present their work at the Wüest Partner Immo-Monitoring event and, where appropriate, to have it published.
